Delivering in Time for the Holidays

Burlington Crossings is a thirty acre retail center located in Burlington, Washington. When Newman Development purchased one of the last sizable plots of prime retail land in Burlington, they looked for a contractor that had local knowledge, was competitive and had the experience to deliver top quality projects on time. With Fisher Construction Group, they found the type of contractor that met their needs.

Working on a fast track schedule to deliver retail stores in time for the holiday shopping season, Fisher crews went to work placing over 600,000 tons of structural fill to bring the site up to grade. The work required close coordination with the local community. Most of the work was done at night–unnoticed by the community in order to eliminate trafic congestion.

At the same time, design teams began designing and permitting the various stores including Home Depot, Old Navy, Linens and Things, Best Buy and numerous other retail stores. Construction began in mid winter and stores opened in early fall to meet their desire to be open for the holiday season. All stores were brought on line on time, and within their set budget.
