CAST-IN-PLACE CONCRETE GARAGES
create a striking solution to parking needs at the mall
This design | build project is comprised of two cast-in-place post-tension concrete garages with masonry and integrally colored pre-cast concrete skin. The three-level structures total 410,000 sq. ft.
Located in area with poorly draining soils, the structure sits on a foundation driven deep below the surface. The system for Garage A uses both augercast and steel pipe piles driven over 160 feet in depth.
Located on the south side of Southcenter Mall in Tukwila, each structure has a pedestrian skybridge connecting to the main mall building. The mall expansion included a new theater with rooftop parking, also connected to the parking garages by bridges on the third level, providing theatergoers with direct access from the parking lot to the theater.
