Job Summary

Fisher Construction Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Thermal Superintendent to oversee and manage the installation of insulated metal panels (IMPs) on commercial and industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in thermal envelope systems and be responsible for ensuring high-quality installation, maintaining safety standards, and meeting project deadlines and budgets.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities related to the installation of insulated metal panels (IMPs).
  • Ensure thermal performance and weatherproofing standards are achieved in accordance with design specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery and proper sequencing of work.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings related to insulated panel systems.
  • Perform daily site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage and train installation crews, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and work with stakeholders to implement effective solutions.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are available and in good working condition.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily logs, material usage, and labor reports.
  • Act as the primary on-site point of contact for all thermal envelope and insulated panel-related work.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience with insulated metal panels.
  • Proven leadership experience managing field crews and subcontractors.
  • In-depth knowledge of insulated metal panel installation techniques, thermal bridging, air and vapor barriers, and flashing details.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with basic construction management tools and software.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites.

Compensation and Benefits

Fisher Construction Group provides a highly-competitive wage and benefits package. Depending on experience, employment offers will range between $40.00 to $45.00 per hour, with a potential annual performance bonus up to $16,500.
