Two Companies Building Second Facilities

Setting New Standards for Frozen Fruit Processing & Storage

Marking their second facility for both Arctic Cold Storage and Titan Frozen Fruit, the 388,263 sq. ft. design/build facility integrates a specialized processing center for Titan Frozen Fruit, while enhancing Arctic Cold Storage’s capacity.

As major tenant of this project, Titan Frozen Fruit, utilizes an advanced 115,550 sq. ft. strawberry processing center designed to handle a range of product demands.

The processing area is divided into two core processing lines, each with unique and specific capabilities:
Fresh Fruit Processing – Supporting the complete preparation and packaging of fresh strawberry products. The workflow includes a series of stages—slicing and mixing, drying and freezing, and weighing and packaging.
Juice/Puree Processing – Includes seed and pulp removal, concentration through evaporation, aroma recovery, pasteurization, and final packaging into drums and pails.

This facility also includes 231,255 sq. ft. dedicated to cold storage, significantly bolstering Arctic Cold Storage’s distribution capabilities. This large–scale cold space not only supports the processing and packaging needs of Titan Frozen Fruit but also provides Arctic Cold Storage with greater flexibility to serve a wide range of clients in the frozen foods and temperature–sensitive goods sectors.

As part of this project, Fisher Construction tackled a range of environmental and safety requirements to create a sustainable and safe site. Three previously abandoned oil wells, each roughly 3,000 feet deep, were re–abandoned to meet CALGEM (California Geologic Energy Management Division) standards. Additionally, Fisher addressed legacy environmental issues by removing and mitigating soil surrounding old oil transfer lines, ensuring the site complies with current environmental standards.
