Field to Market Product Integration

On-Site Cold Storage Maximizes Product Quality

As both grower and processor, Enfield set the goal of complete on-site integration of the process from field to market. The final segment of this integration was a cold storage and packing facility designed and built by Fisher Construction Group.

The concrete tilt-up building with insulated metal wall and ceiling panels was built over a six month schedule, during challenging winter conditions. It was completed and on line to process the following season’s harvest.

The architecture and engineering was done in-house at Fisher as part of their design build process approach. This process allowed the owner to make adjustments as needs developed–without expensive cost over runs. The new state-of-the-art facility gives Enfield Farms the flexibility to process and package product in multiple ways, meeting marketplace demand.
