Repurposes an Existing Warehouse to Meet Growing Company Needs

From the basics of fish, beef, and poultry to specialty alligator, frog, and quail. Plymouth Inc. distributes products of hundreds of producers to grocery stores and restaurants along the West Coast. As America’s tastes have grown and diversified, so has Plymouth’s business.

Plymouth Inc. was bursting at the seams in their South Seattle location. They explored multiple options before finding a solution that met their needs quicker in an existing warehouse space. Which already had some of the components they needed.

Having already worked with Plymouth to evaluate potential properties’ feasibility, Fisher Construction Group’s team quickly went to work. Fisher’s Design | Build Team worked with Plymouth to understand their vision for the existing warehouse, meeting their needs as a distribution center and a place to connect with customers.

Fisher applied their considerable experience in renovating existing buildings and their understanding of creating food-safe processing environments. Fisher made the renovated facility easier to clean and comply with food safety audit programs.

The project included building a 35,000 SF cooler within the building. In addition, multiple areas throughout the 110,000 SF building were upgraded. This allowed Plymouth to focus on future growth plans. The 14,600 SF renovated office space showcased Plymouth’s brand. For instance, the upstairs area includes a large test kitchen and multiple meeting areas for connecting suppliers with customers.

As a result of seven-month renovation, Plymouth to began distribution out of the warehouse quickly, moving from their old facility 10 miles down the road.
