Job Summary
Fisher Construction Group is seeking a Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of complex construction projects. The Project Engineer will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and design teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract requirements.
This position is ideal for someone who wants to build a career in construction management and gain hands-on experience with large-scale commercial and industrial projects. The successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in both an office and construction-site environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project management and field operations.
- Review plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Prepare, track, and maintain RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation.
- Assist with project schedules, procurement, cost tracking, and forecasting.
- Review subcontractor and vendor documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Attend and participate in project meetings and maintain meeting documentation.
- Assist with quantity takeoffs, estimating, and project buyout as needed.
- Help identify potential project issues and work with the project team to develop solutions.
- Support project closeout, commissioning, and turnover activities.
- Visit and work from active construction sites as required.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, schedule, and cost throughout the project.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support successful project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of commercial, industrial, or construction experience preferred; internships or relevant project experience will be considered.
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and project documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to learn and effectively use construction management software and technology.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Must be willing to travel and/or relocate to project sites throughout the United States.
Compensation & Benefits
Fisher Construction Group provides a highly competitive wage and benefits package. Depending on experience, employment offers will range between $80,168 – $93,000.00 annually, with a potential annual performance bonus up to $9,500.00.
